Unorthodox Racing makes a lightened underdrive crank pulley
for the GT. This pulley is about 60% lighter than the stock unit. Power gains are obtained in two ways. First, and most important,
is the weight loss. An average of 2.7 HP can be gained from every pound lost off the crank shaft. 85% of the
gains are from weight loss. The rest of the gains are from underdriving, which accounts for about 15% of the total gains.
Figure about a 5-6 hp gain on the Elantra GT.
This Ultra S Pulley is available in either polished, blue,
black or red and is available from Kore Motorsports for about$200.
