Clearing the Orange from the Headlights

Clearing the Orange
by J-son

This DIY is for '04 and up Elantras.  I was messing around with the car and thought, why not make the head lights all clear of orange? Here's how I did it.

The Project

1. I first removed the head light. Two screws on top and don't forget the one behind the assembly. (circled in red)

2. I used my portable heater I have in the garage that keeps me warm when on the computer during the winter. It did a good job heating up the glue to be able to pry housing apart. When I had my Accent I put them in the oven to pull out the marker and boy the housing was hotter than hell.

3. After getting it pryed apart you can get to the bracket that holds the marker into place.

4. The bracket has two screws (philips) that will need to be unscrewed and then remove orange marker. I replaced the bracket and screws and then I put it in front of the heater again to get the glue hot and the pushed it all back together while holding it in front of heater. (I circled the two screws locations in red.)

What to do with the markers instead of throwing them away lol
