It's all in the details
With exterior mods like body kits and spoilers and interior mods like
dash kits taking center stage, the engine compartment sometimes is overlooked. It shouldn't be. Even if your GT looks incredible
inside and out, the under hood area shouldn't be neglected. I've been sent many photos of GT's and it's always disappointing
to see a great looking car with a dirty, shabby looking engine compartment. I've covered cleaning the engine bay in
the Maintenance Zone area. This page will deal with ways to dress up and personalize this all important area. Remember, details are what separate an average ride from an award-winning
showstopper!

Engine Dress Up Suggestions

1. Paint the valve cover.
Since it's front and center in the engine bay it only make sense to make it a focal point. Make sure to choose
a color that compliments your car's paint scheme. And be sure to use a heat resistant paint.

2. Braided Hose Sleeve Kits. This is one of the
easiest ways to dress up the engine bay. Simply take the hose off, slip the sleeve and fittings over the hose, reattach, and
voila! instant show car!

3. Aftermarket Oil Filler Cap. While I haven't been able to track down one specifically made for the Elantra GT, Honda aftermarket oil caps
fit perfectly! Again, a small detail but it does make a difference.
