An easy way to let heat out of the engine compartment!
Tools Needed
1. Socket Wrench
2. 12mm Socket
3. Hood Spacers (either actual spacers, or some washers that are
a good fit will work)
The
Installation
1. Open hood and prop up.
2. Make sure to mark (with a Sharpie pen) where the original line-up
was before removing the hood to add thespacers.
3. Use a socket wrench with a 12mm socket to take off both bolts on
one side of the back of the hood (HOLD HOOD WITH ONE HAND FOR SUPPORT)
4. Push down the swing-arm for the hood, now add the spacers/washers
by placing them in between the swing-arm and hood, re-install bolts making sure to tighten them, quite snug.
5. Repeat on other side.
Caution!! Check to make sure the hood is not rubbing on fenders,
or other miscellaneous objects.
Caution!! When in colder conditions, be ready for the windshield
to fog due to heat coming from engine compartment.
