Looking Cool
When it comes to a custom look, this one is pretty much
a no-brainer. Look at a stock Elantra GT side by side with a GT with aftermarket tinting... the tinted car simply looks sleeker.
This should be one of the first cosmetic mods you do. And there are other pluses beyond the sleek look. Not only will the
darker windows keep prying eyes away, but reducing ultraviolet rays means a cooler interior and less chance of your interior
fading. With the reduced glare it will be much
easier to drive on those sunny summer days!
When it comes to actually choosing a tint film there are a couple of things to keep
in mind. Always use a reputable installer, don't go for the cheapest price... you get what you pay for (expect to pay $200-
$250 to tint your Elantra). Also, most quality film manufacturers offer a lifetime guarantee so don't settle for less. Beyond
that just get the color and degree of tint that you like.
One important word of caution, though. State laws vary wildy on what an acceptable percentage
of tinting is. For this reason I suggest you check out the very important link posted
