Clock Color Change DIY
by hickie13 (difficulty: easy)

A simple mod to change the color of that nasty green
color that matches nothing!
1- Follow the club's easy dash removal DIY. Only four
phillips screws and some gentle pulling are needed to remove.
2- I was able to swing the dash over to the passenger seat without
removing lighter plug wires, and thus exposing the back to remove the clock.

3- Two phillips screws hold the clock to the back of the dash plate.
Remove clock.
4- I went to a local craft store and wandered aimlessly until I
found this great stencil film in a light blue. I wanted to match my Alpine head unit so I chose that. They had a few
other colors too. I have read of people using hair gel, cleaning supply bottles... any good plastic will do. This
is the only creative part.

5- The OE green plastic part is heat melted in four little spots.
Use an exacto knife to cut free. Pop it out and cut your new plastic to size. I had to use four layers of my stencil
film to get my desired darkness. You could either use a soldiering iron to melt the new plastic in place, or
just a little Elmers glue like me.

6- Reattach clock, put dash back on and enjoy the lack of the 90's
green clock!
