The Look
You know the look. Almost all customized cars have it. That low
to the ground, aggressive, road hugging look. Sure low profile tires and large rims help give that illusion but you'll
really need lowering springs to complete the job. It's amazing how different a lowered GT looks when compared to the stock
car. The Elantra simply seems sportier when lowered.
One of the other benefits of these springs is a lowered center of
gravity, which will give your car a more sure footed feel with a slight sacrifice in ride quality. Through the research I've
done there are several brands of springs for the GT worth looking at. Eibach Pro-Kit springs (part #4218.140) are high quality but only lower the car
about 1.0 inch. While the quality of these springs is excellent, you just won't get the low custom appearance with them.
Better choices are the Apex (part #210-2200) Sport springs, the H&R (part #29349) Sport springs or the B&G (part #30.1.015) springs. You'll get a 1.7 inch drop with the Apex springs, 1.4 with the H&R and a 1.6 inch drop
with B&G. The Apex, H&R or B&G springs would all work very well with the Elantra GT.
