Strut Tower Braces

Tightening it up

This is a brace that attaches to the front strut towers to add rigidity to the GT's chassis. This will reduce body flex during hard cornering and acceleration. These braces will also help maintain correct suspension geometry which will result in more precise handling and steering! It is another one of those easy to install, good bang for the buck upgrades that all GT'ers should consider. Used in conjuction with an upgraded rear sway bar you can turn your GT into a lean, mean cornering machine! You can order one from Shark Racing for approximately $75 plus shipping charges. PSC also offers a front strut bar for the GT (sedan or hatch) and has a unique rear strut bar available for the hatchback only. One of the best bets is the new AOS bar available from SpeedState. You can get it in aluminum or carbon fiber and ranges in price from $95 to $120.

One important thing to keep in mind when shopping for the strut bars is cruise control module clearance. For example the Tuscani (Tiburon) bar will not properly fit our cars. The Mussa strut bar is one that will work.  It's one of the newer, bargain priced bars and is available here.
