Breathe a Little Easier
Although Hyundai included some terrific standard equipment
on the GT they skimped on this one. Ever start your car, turn on the fan and see dust spewing out of the vents? I know I have.
Well it just so happens that there's a slot for a cabin air
filter behind the glove box in the Elantra. Unfortunately, Hyundai USA saw fit not to give us the filter. And so we're stuck
with dirty air and dust all over the interior.
This cabin air filter isn't listed as an option for the Elantra
in the Hyundai USA parts catalog. But, once again it's the '03 Tiburon to the rescue! The stock cabin air filter for the Tib
just so happens to fit the GT perfectly. While this isn't a micron filter it works great as a barrier against dust and those
pesky leaves! You can order one of these thru your Hyundai dealer (part # 97133- 2D000) for around $40. This is an important, simple
to install and inexpensive upgrade.
