H&R Trak Spacers

Is Wider Better?

In my seemingly never-ending search for products to customize the GT, I came across H&R Trak+ Wheel Spacers. The premise of these are very interesting.

One of the most common ways to customize the look of your GT is to upgrade to larger tires and custom wheels. This not only gives you the "car show" look, it also generally improves handling. The problem is, for a lot of people, the expense is just too high! It can easily cost over $1,000 for new wheels and tires. Here's where wheel spacers come into play as an idea for budget-minded GT modders. The spacers fit between the wheel and the hub, effectively widening the stance and lowering the roll center of the car. In theory this simple mod increases lateral stability and gives the GT that full wheel well look modders crave. They're available in widths up to 20mm and retail for about $75 to $125 per pair. You can order them from H&R Springs.

Note: Please keep in mind I just have found out about these and cannot guarantee their effectiveness. They do sound like an interesting alternative, though.
