Unorthodox Racing Underdrive Crank Pulley Installation

By JPJR  (difficulty level: hard)

Pulley part number - 0207101_ (the last space is for the color code you choose).
I purchased mine from
www.jegs.com for about $215.00 and have been very
happy with it. The engine revs faster and feels lighter.

Stock vs. Unorthodox pulley

How to install the New Pulley

Loosen lug nuts on passenger front wheel and raise car to take off. Be sure to
support car with jack stands. Take tire off. Remove plastic shroud in front of
the pulley (two 10mm bolts). With impact wrench or big breaker bar, loosen
crankshaft pulley bolt. You will need someone to put car in 5th gear and push
brake pedal hard.

Loosen the belts and take the stock pulley off. Coat the inside of the pulley with
anti sieze and use threadlock on the crankshaft bolt. Tighten the crankshaft bolt
to 125-130 ft/lbs with a good torque wrench.

These are the belts I needed for this pulley. The instructions that come with it say
to use a different size, but they were too big. Alt./water pump: I used Gates K040335,
it fit, but was a little on the big side. K040330 will probably fit better. Air cond: Gates
K040315 fit perfect. Install belts and tighten accessories.

Put the plastic cover and tire back on. Raise car and remove jackstand. Lower car
and retorque lug nuts. Reset your ECU (car's computer) by disconnecting the battery
negative cable for a couple of minutes. You are now ready to drive. JPJR
